Accessibility Statement
The International Accreditation Center (IAC) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
Measures taken
IAC takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML: All pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmark elements (
<header>,<main>,<nav>,<footer>), and meaningful link text. - Skip navigation: A "Skip to content" link is available on every page to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, menus) are accessible via keyboard.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Alternative text: Meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes.
- Form labels: All form inputs have associated
<label>elements withforattributes. - Focus indicators: Visible focus styles are provided for all interactive elements.
- Responsive design: The website is usable across a wide range of screen sizes and devices.
- Reduced motion: Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query where applicable.
Known limitations
While we strive for full conformance, some areas may have limitations:
- PDF documents: Some downloadable PDF documents may not yet be fully tagged for assistive technology. We are working to remediate these.
- Third-party content: External fonts loaded from Google Fonts are not under our direct control, though they do not affect page functionality.
- Dynamic directory search: The Directory search results update dynamically; screen reader announcements may vary by browser and assistive technology combination.
